I am delighted with my new front yard. The plan was right on the money, your designer was creative, flexible and wonderful to work with. The men did great work: clean, neat and quick! It was a pleasure to work with Landscape Design.

Caring for Your Colorado Landscape

Lasting Beauty

Your new Landscape Connection landscape only gets better with time, especially when cared for properly. Bring out the beauty in your outdoor areas with a thorough Seasonal Cleaning, offered by The Landscape Connection, which includes:

Lawn areas: aerate and fertilize with annual fertilizer

Shrubs and bushes: cut back and prune as needed to rejuvenate healthy growth for the coming year

Outdoor Lighting System: Lighting systems work best when given an annual detailed inspection and maintenance. We will evaluate how well your lighting setup is operating, clean and lubricate all fixtures, repair/replace any damaged fixtures, and relocate fixtures that have become obscured by shrubbery (or prune shrubs as needed so lighting is visible). Recommendations for improvements and upgrades will be submitted for your consideration.

Trees: Tree wrap and straps/wire/stakes addition/removal and recommendations for tree-experts who perform long life tree upkeep.

Perennial/Annual planting areas:Top-dress garden beds with a top layer of mulch to insulate the soil and keep summer sun from heating it to a temperature that would inhibit root growth. Mulch is also a great weed barrier, it aids water conservation in Colorado (mulching can reduce your garden's water needs by as much as half) and it looks great - like a fresh coat of paint on a house - mulch gives the garden a finished look. Perennials are cut back to aid healthy Spring growth. Soil is amended and prepared for planting as needed, including debris removal, adding nutritional compost, and turning the soil to a depth of 6 - 8 inches. Drip/irrigation systems (includes sprinkler activation) are examined for premium performance. A maintenance and improvements recommendations report for your irrigation system will be submitted for your consideration.

Water-features: cleaning debris from waterfalls, streams, and pond-less water features with close attention paid to pump check and operation, adjusting rocks that have fallen or shifted out of place, and water feature lighting.

Don't forget that your sprinkler system needs draining.
