Fall Color Plant Material
These are our best
picks for some great fall color:

Burning Bush
(Euonymus alatus)-Red hot fall color showing off
winged bark after the leaves fall off. Ht. 8’ & Spd.
6’.

Burning Bush,
Dwarf (Euonymus alatus ‘Compacta’)-Same as above for
fall color and winter interest but grows half the
size. Ht. 5’ & Spd. 4’.

Serviceberry (Amelanchier
var.)-This small tree or large shrub turns a rainbow
of yellow, orange and red in the fall season. Ht.
10-15’ & Spd. 8-10’.

Lilac ‘Miss Kim’
(Syringa patula ‘Miss Kim’)-The medium sized lilac
turns a burgundy/purple tinge in the fall months.
Ht. 4-5’ & Spd. 4-5’.

Sumac Varieties
(Rhus var.)- Our favorite varieties are Grow-Low
Fragrant and Rocky Mountain for their
sustainability. All varieties turn vibrant reds and
oranges in the fall. Ht. 3’-10’ & Spd. 3’-8’.

Ash ‘Autumn Purple’
(Fraxinus americana ‘Autumn Purple’)- Beautiful
shade tree that has an array of yellow, red and
purple shades in fall. Ht. 50’ & Spd. 30’.

Fall To Do List

Start with a fresh yard in the spring by having a
FALL CLEAN UP
planned. Get up all the leaves, pine needles and
debris from animals.
PRUNE back
shrubs and perennials.

plant material for winter protection.

flowering bulbs for the spring months. Bulbs will
come up months before anything else.

Drain or blow out your
IRRIGATION
system for the winter months.
