What Does a Dream Landscape Cost?
Every landscape is different - and so is every budget.
Property size, site access, demolition, materials, plantings, hardscapes, and outdoor features can all have a significant impact on the final investment.
While we can’t tell you exactly what your project will cost until we understand your property and vision, we can give you a realistic idea of what to expect.
Most Landscape Connection projects fall between $30,000 and $70,000, with larger and more complex projects ranging from $100,000 to $600,000+.
Typical Project Investment
$15,000–$30,000
Smaller Landscapes & Focused Improvements
Smaller projects may include a compact new-build backyard, front yard xeriscaping, basic planting, or other focused landscape improvements. Adding concrete, pavers, fire features, boulders, extensive plantings, or other features can quickly move a project beyond this range.
$30,000–$100,000
Complete Landscape Transformations
This is where the majority of our projects fall. These landscapes often combine multiple elements — such as hardscaping, planting, lighting, fire features, and gathering spaces—to create a cohesive outdoor environment.
$100,000+
Large-Scale & Custom Landscapes
Larger properties, custom homes, extensive outdoor living environments, and projects with premium materials or significant site work frequently exceed $100,000. For acre-plus custom home properties, landscaping requirements alone can begin around $150,000–$200,000, with more extensive projects reaching $400,000–$600,000+.
What Affects the Cost?
No two properties — or project wish lists — are exactly alike. Some of the biggest factors that influence your investment include:
- Size and scope of the property
- Demolition and site preparation
- Property access
- Concrete and paver areas
- Outdoor kitchens and fire features
- Water features
- Landscape lighting
- Plant quantity, size and variety
- Boulders and other natural materials
- Drainage and grading requirements
Renovations can be especially variable because existing conditions, demolition, and access can significantly affect the amount of work involved.
Not Sure Where Your Project Fits?
That’s exactly what the initial consultation is for.
We’ll talk about your property, your priorities, what you’d like to accomplish, and the level of investment you’re comfortable making. From there, we can help you understand what’s realistic and where your budget will have the greatest impact.
Our goal isn’t simply to fit as many features as possible into a number. It’s to create a thoughtfully designed landscape that’s worth the investment — and one you’ll love living with for years to come.
